Theresa McKean Doughty, a resident of Greensburg, passed away on October 31, 2016 at Tangi Pines Nursing Home. She was born on January 24, 1941 in Slidell and was 75 years of age. She was a retired dairy farmer and former owner of Greensburg Farm Store and Florist. She was a longtime member of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) committee and past chairperson. She is survived by her husband of 54 years and 10 months, Charles Henry Doughty; children, Tara D. Martin and husband, Clint, Tania D. Boyd and husband, Bill, Paul C. McKean, Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Charles Henry “Hank” Doughty, II and wife, Katherine, and Corey A. Doughty and wife, Aimee, as well as grandchildren, Kellan, Kara, Kalee, Zachary, Zoe, Lily, Elisabeth, David and Mia; her brothers, Jim (Glenda), Bill (Helena), and Paul McKean, Sr.; special sister in law, Ralphadean McKean; long time friend, Jimmie Wascom and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James M. and Isabell Barber McKean; sister, Elisabeth Soeller and brothers, Lee, John and Pete McKean. At Theresa’s request, a private, immediate family only, graveside service will be held. A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the home of Henry and Theresa Doughty. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of arrangements.
