Barbara Harrell Parker, a resident of Amite, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at her home. She was born August 18, 1947 in Picayune, MS, and was 69 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Leon Parker; daughter, Kimberly Bryan and husband, Steve; daughter, Barbara Shane Howell and husband, Frank; son, Rusty Besanson and wife, Anita; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Atley Jones Harrell, Sr. and Verna Penton Harrell; son, Danny Louis Besanson, Jr. and her brother, Atley Jones Harrell, Jr. Visitation was held at Amite Pentecostal Church, 14054 Hwy 16 E, Amite, LA 70422, from 10 AM until religious services at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
