
Kenneth James Allen was born on November 23, 1932 to Edgar Allen and Mynette Breeden Allen in Greensburg, Louisiana. Ken graduated Greensburg High School and went on to attend Nichols College in Thibodaux, Louisiana on a football scholarship. He served in the US Navy for four years during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he enrolled in Louisiana State University where he obtained a degree in forestry before moving with his wife and children to Cleveland, Texas to live the remainder of his years. Ken was an avid sportsman who loved a variety of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, canoeing, and snow skiing, all of which he continue well into his retirement years. He was a tenderhearted family man who loved deeply and hugged tightly. He could build just about anything imaginable, was an avid reader, and never bored of learning new things. Ken was preceded in Death by his Father - Edgar Eugene Allen, Mother - Mynette Breeden Allen, Brother – Warren Allen. He is survived by his loving family, Children: Mark Allen and wife Beth, Kathy Boone and husband Dan Grandchildren: Laura Griffin and husband Aaron, Jeannelle Allen, and Adelle Allen Great Grandchildren: Bishop Crocker Nephew: John E. Allen, wife Kathy, son Bryan, grandchildren Gabrielle O’Neil, Peyton Allen, and Andy Allen. Memorial Service at Day’s Methodist Church Saturday, March 25 at 2:30 p.m.
