Vertalee Hayden Blalock, a resident of Loranger, passed away on November 8, 2016 at the age of 91. She was born December 10, 1924, in Independence to Shelly O. Hayden and Ruby Sweeney Hayden. She was a retired school teacher. She is survived by many friends, relatives and students. Preceded in death by her husband, Curtis (Jack) Blalock; parents, Shelly and Ruby Hayden; and her sister, Billye (Sug) Hayden. Visitation at Oak Grove Church of Christ from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Services conducted by Bro. Dale Ziebarth.
