Elizabeth Morel Dunnington, a resident of Husser, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. She was born November 9, 1986 in Hammond and lived almost to reach her milestone goal of 30 years old. She is survived by her father, James “Jimmy” Morel; mother, Myra Husser Morel Jenkins Sharpe; sister, Amanda Morel Higginbotham and husband, Chad; niece, Savannah Kelly; nephew, Dawson Kelly; step sisters, Rhonda Lofton, Christy Alvarado, and Lynda Jo Campos; step brothers, Charles Sharpe, III, Charles “Rodney” Sharpe, II, and David Michael Sharpe; grandparents, Jim and Maxine Jenkins and Charlie and Laurie Sharp; fiancé, Shane Carmouche; former spouse, Bendel Dunnington; special cousin, Katie Husser and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by her step fathers, Ronald “Ronnie” Jenkins and Charles “Rodney” Sharpe; her uncles, David Wayne Husser and Donald Morel, Sr. and her grandparents, John and Gloria Morel and Leon and Kathleen Husser. Visitation will be held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2016.
