Paul Charles Genco, a resident of Amite, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his home. He was born October 9, 1927 in Amite and was 89 years of age. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church and a WWII Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife Mary E. Gulotta Genco; two daughters, Paula Genco Spear and Loreta Genco Campo and husband Steve Campo, Jr.; son Charles V. Genco and wife Mary D. Genco; five grandchildren William Hall and wife Emily, Paul C. Genco, II, Steven J. “Trey” Campo, III, Charly Lyn Genco, and Mary-Lauren Campo; four great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Rilee, Abram and Whitney Hall, and daughter-in-law Jackie Genco. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles V. and Pauline Misita Genco; son John Joseph Genco; sisters Catherine Cuti, Mary Cefalu, and Pauline Schittone; and his brother Charles Sam Genco. Visitation at St. Helena Catholic Church Hall on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 8:00 AM until 11:30 a.m. with Funeral Mass at St. Helena Catholic Church at 12 p.m. Services conducted by Fr. Mark Beard. Interment Amite Memorial Gardens, Amite. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National WWII Museum, 945 Magazine Street New Orleans, LA 70130.
