Young

Jesse Hugh D. Young passed away on May 12, 2017 at Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond. He was 75 years old. He was valedictorian of his graduating class from Greensburg High School in 1959. He also graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University, where he was a honor student and editor of the school year book. He was a resident of Kentwood at the time of his death. In his career in working as a clerk at law firms, he lived in New Orleans, Detroit and Washington, D.C. He retired from Nixon Peabody Law Firm in 2007. He returned to his place of birth in the Pine Ridge Community in late 2010. He is survived by his brother, Milton Young. Preceded in death by his parents, Hugh D. and Inez Grice Young; brother, Walter B. Bilbo Young; and his grandparents, Walter J. And Myra Bond Young and Luther Fritz and Allie Grice. Visitation was held at Pine Ridge United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017. Interment Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine Ridge.
