Maxine Varnado of Kentwood passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017. She was a long-time member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, where she served her class, church, and the community. She enjoyed her years in the Sunshine choir, and loved her church & church family. She was preceded in death by her husband Kermit R. Varnado, and brothers J.H. Hall, Floyd Hall and her sister, Vivien Richardson. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families in Texas. Visitation was held at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and at Spring Creek Baptist Church, Spring Creek, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until Religious Services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
