Lugean Hyde Evans, a resident of Livingston, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at her home. She was born May 27, 1926 in Chesbrough and was 90 years of age. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Suzanna Sibley, Livingston, Nancy Cole, St. Amant, Effie Cernich, Greensburg, and Hazel Higginbotham, Satsuma; 2 sons, John F. Evans and William J. Evans, both of Gillsburg, MS; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 28 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Evans; 2 children, Ed Evans and Jennie Lou Whitehead; 2 grandchildren; 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Visitation was held at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 9:00 a.m. until religious services at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016. Interment Evans Cemetery, Gillsburg, MS.
