Albert Daniel “Danny” Sanders, age 69, a resident of Franklinton died Thursday evening December 8, 2016 at his home. He was a former oil-field driller for Sundowner and other companies through the years. Danny attended Shiloh Church of Christ near Amite and loved reading about and studying History. He liked to cook for his family and friends, but he especially loved growing plants and flowers in his nursery. Danny also planted a large garden each year and would share the vegetables with his neighbors and family and he also liked to raise his farm animals.

Wife of 47 years: Donna Buquoi Sanders of Franklinton
Daughter: Jennifer Pauline Sanders of Monroe, NC
Three Sons and Daughters in law: Jason Daniel Sanders of Hammond, Gregory Adam and Kristen Sanders of Carriere, MS, Aaron Michael and Holly Sanders of Mt. Hermon.
Eight Grandchildren: Chaston Drew Thorp, Dakota Lee and Hannah Thorp, Nathan Daniel Thorp, Bray Benjamin Sanders, Kelsey Alexis Bennett, Carmen Blaze Neff, Xander Cade Neff, and Tristan Mac Freeman.
An Expected Grandchild: Raylan Aaron Sanders
Two Brothers and a Sister in law: Walter Lynn and Cheryl Sanders of Hempstead, NC, and David Russell Sanders of Aztec, NM.
Sister and Brother in law: Florence Sanders Loftice and Daniel Loftice of Franklinton.
Mother in law: Ella Labat Buquoi of Baton Rouge.
Also numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Leo Sanders and Ayleen Yates Sanders, grandparents Daniel and Pauline Gardner Yates and Walter Sanders and Synthia Gill Jenkins, father in law Charles Allen Buquoi and aunt Emma Gardner.
Visitation was held at Crain Funeral Home Sunday, December 11 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Monday. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bob Morrow, Bro. Dru Broussard, and Dale Westmoreland officiating. Burial followed in the Sharp Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jason Sanders, Russell Holden, Richard Holden, Van Varnado, Dakota Thorp, and Matt Westmoreland.
Honorary Pallbearers are grandsons Chaston Thorp and Nathan Thorp.
