Jean Gunnells Trout, a resident of Kentwood, passed away at 4:55 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 at her home. She was born August 22, 1944 in New Orleans and was 72 years of age. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved to help anyone. She is survived by her husband Larry R. Trout, Sr.; two daughters, Ramona Trout and Rebecca Jarreau and husband, Johnny; three sons, Larry R. Trout, Jr. and wife, Sandy, Chad M. Trout and wife, Melissa, and Robert C. Trout, Sr. and fiance, Shenika; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister Betty Bridges and her husband Charles; and two sisters-in-law, Carol Matthews and Bobbett Gunnells. Preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Beulah Gunnells; grandson Jeremy Owens; brother Luther Gunnells, Jr.; father-in-law Robert Clayton Trout; mother in law Emily Will; and brother-in-law Butch Trout. Visitation was held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Religious Services at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite. Services conducted by Father Mark Beard. Interment Tangipahoa Cemetery, Tangipahoa. Pallbearers will be Chad, Robert, Sr., Cody, Tyler, Robert, Jr., Josh, Brett, and Madris Trout, and Wyatt Jarreau. The family would like to thank everyone that helped take care of Miss Jean including her sitters, CNA’s, and especially Johnny Jarreau and family.
